About Katie

Hello, I’m Katie

CEO, Director, marketing, admin and everything to do with Katie Wheater Wellbeing! I can’t get through the morning without coffee and fresh air, and am a sucker for dark chocolate. I am passionate about women’s wellbeing and supporting you to find ease and nourishment to enjoy your life as much as possible. I believe resting, relaxing and replenishing the body are non-negotiables to enjoying our time and living sustainably, reducing the risk of burn out. I don’t believe that “busy” is necessarily the right marker of success.

My aim is to enable you to slow down, soothe body and mind, and connect with what you really want and need. On a lighter note, I can also help your tense shoulders (etc) relax, build strength and flexibility and help you sleep better.

With a degree in marine biology (my first love), then a career in environmental PR, and a MSc in nutrition, I am not your usual wellbeing therapist! I bring a high level of life and professional experience to all I do. My twenties were spent in London and Oxfordshire working in climate change, agriculture and across the environment sector, dealing with local and national government and securing regular coverage in the media. After ten years in this world and observing increasing amounts of stress, anxiety and burn-out in women across my social and business circles, I wanted a change. And so I began my massage training with Oxford School of Massage, which, with CPD through Jing massage and Jenny Burrell, continues to this day.

In addition to massage, I am passionate about nourishing our bodies through nutrient dense food, throughout life, particularly for women and girls. Whilst pregnant with my daughter, I completed a MSc in nutrition at Oxford Brookes University, regularly feeding her throughout lectures and studying while she slept. My specific areas of interest are eating well to support women’s hormones (think perimenopause and puberty) and making simple swaps to and easy habits to integrate greater nutritional nourishment into your day.

I was introduced to deep rest yoga nidra by my yoga teacher James Reeves, first in my 20s while still working in busy, stressful corporate and charity PR. Re-establishing my practice to support me through endless sleepless nights in early motherhood, deep rest yoga nidra gave me snatches of calm and rest. During Covid lockdowns when my business was shut down, I trained initially with James Reeves and then deepened my training with Melanie Cooper and Jennie Wadsten Sharma.

In 2025, I spent a year training with Everybody Studio in Oxford, completing my 200hr vinyasa teacher training. Since then, I have added additional training in restorative yoga and somatics with Laura Gilmore. With more than 300 hours of teacher training and hundreds of hours delivering classes, alongside my massage work, I am known for holding calm space to help regulate women’s nervous system. I am committed to my own personal and professional development with continued training and mentoring with highly regarded senior yoga teacher and therapist Anna Taylor. In my personal life, I’ve been practising many forms of yoga for more than 20 years which has supported me through a wide variety of life experiences – read more about my yoga story here.

It is with real, heartfelt joy that I create nurturing and nourishing experiences for women looking to deeply relax and replenish their energy and provide the opportunity and environment to focus on their own self-care. Well rested women can change the world!

My home is shared my husband, two children and two cats. In my spare time I love to be outdoors – walking, running, swimming, paddle boarding, gardening and watching wildlife. Yoga and yoga nidra play essential roles in my life.
