This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand how we handle and use your personal information.

 WHAT DO WE DO

Katie Wheater Wellbeing provides massage treatments and nutritional advice to clients to improve their health through massage, diet and lifestyles interventions.  We use questionnaires and data gathered during consultations to understand the underlying health issues which we seek to address with massage, dietary and lifestyle changes.

Services are provided on a one to one basis, online and face to face, through social media engagement, webinars, workshops, talks and corporate consultancy.

We may consult with third parties for a second opinion.  Any such approach is undertaken on an anonymous basis.

 DATA COLLECTION 

 I, Katie Wheater (KW), only collect personal data for agreed purposes and I am strongly committed to protecting the personal data of clients and followers.

 Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable living person. KW processes personal data for numerous purposes, and the means of collection, lawful basis of processing, use, disclosure, and retention periods for each purpose may differ.

 When collecting and using personal data, my policy is to be transparent about why and how I process personal data. Please find out more by reading the statements below.

 TYPE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED 

We collect information about you when you register interest or book a treatment or consultation, and when you complete customer surveys and provide feedback. 

Your personal information including information relating to your health will be captured via completion of a health questionnaire, and follow up consultation. 

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We collect information about you to process your order, manage your account and to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. Your personal health information is used to provide personalised treatments, dietary and lifestyle advice, and any other recommended course of action.

STORAGE AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We will keep information about you confidential. We will only disclose your information with other third parties with your express consent, with the exception of the following categories of third parties:

  • Our Insurer for the processing of a complaint by you
  • Any contractors and advisors that provide a service to us or act as our agents on the understanding that they keep the information confidential
  • Your registered GP or other healthcare provider, provided you have given permission
  • Anyone to whom we may transfer our rights and duties under any agreement we have with you
  • Any legal or crime prevention agencies and/or to satisfy any regulatory request if we have a duty to do so or if the law allows us to do so.

We may use your data in an anonymised form for discussion with other healthcare professionals / for use as a case study.

We only use information that may identify you in accordance with GDPR.  This requires us to process personal data only if there is a legitimate basis for doing so, and that any processing must be fair and lawful.

Your data will be stored on a password protected laptop or locked filing system.

MARKETING

We would like to send you information about products and services of ours which may be of interest to you.

When you opt in for a complimentary or paid product or service you also consent to be added to or mailing list. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date by unsubscribing from the email list. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.

ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us at katie@katiewheaterwellbeing.co.uk. We may make a small charge for this service. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
